S.A. Slayer was originally known just as Slayer, but since there was another Slayer at that time (in addition to the one from Phoenix, Arizona that released the "Dangerous Appetite" record in 1982), and they had already put out an album, the Los Angeles band Slayer threatened the San Antonio one with a lawsuit, and so they had to put the S.A. before their name.
